The original C-terminal fragment of human growth hormone spanning amino acids 176-191. Contains the fat-burning region of HGH without the growth-promoting (IGF-1-stimulating) region. Slightly different structure from AOD-9604 but essentially the same compound; AOD-9604 is a modified version with a disulfide bridge.
Mechanism of Action
HGH Fragment 176-191 directly mimics the lipolytic action of full HGH at the adipocyte level: it stimulates hormone-sensitive lipase (HSL) to break down stored fat (lipolysis) and suppresses the activity of lipoprotein lipase (LPL) which stores fat. Critically, it does not stimulate IGF-1, does not affect insulin, and does not promote long-bone growth.
