Storage & Reconstitution Guide

Storage Temperature

-20°C lyophilized, 4°C reconstituted

24 months (lyophilized), 28 days (reconstituted)

Reconstitution Solvent

Bacteriostatic water (BAC water)

Swirl gently — do not shake or vortex

Handling Notes

Protect lyophilized peptide from moisture and light. Once reconstituted, keep refrigerated. Discard if solution becomes cloudy or discolored. Use insulin syringe for precise dosing.

Step-by-Step Reconstitution

1

Gather supplies

BAC water, insulin syringe, alcohol swabs, vial

2

Disinfect tops

Swab rubber stoppers of both vials with alcohol

3

Draw BAC water

Pull desired mL of BAC water into syringe

4

Inject slowly

Inject BAC water down the side of the peptide vial, swirl gently to dissolve

Clinical Trials & Human Studies2 trials

🏥 Clinical Trial

Bremelanotide for Female Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder

Kingsberg SA, et al.·Obstetrics & Gynecology·2019

Bremelanotide (PT-141) significantly improved sexual desire in premenopausal women with HSDD.

🏥 Clinical TrialPhase 3

RECONNECT Trials: Bremelanotide for Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder

Kingsberg SA, et al.·Obstetrics & Gynecology·2019· n=1,267

Two Phase 3 RCTs (n=1,267 combined) in premenopausal women with HSDD. Both trials met co-primary endpoints: significant improvements in sexual desire (FSFI desire score) and distress (FSDS-DAO Item 13) vs placebo (p<0.05). Satisfying sexual events increased 0.7/month vs 0.4/month placebo.

Result

Both endpoints met in both trials (p<0.05)

Responders

25% vs 17% placebo showed meaningful improvement

Primary Endpoints

FSFI desire domain score + FSDS-DAO Item 13 distress score

Satisfying Events

+0.7/month (bremelanotide) vs +0.4/month (placebo)
